The pedalled/upbeat piano line makes me think of an unsettling, otherwordly boss.
Seeing as this is titled “Last Moon”, I admire that there is a lot of quartal/quintal happening (for example the melody ending with As and Gs).
I really enjoyed the trappy hihat and the beat as a whole. The atmosphere this piece is creating is also very vivid, I immediately had the feeling that I was in a certain kind of gaming situation. The boss vibes in this were not so strong for me, and the low end got very boomy, but it was a great listen nevertheless. Well done!
That was really cool an atmospheric! I'm not sure if it's a boss battle theme, like maybe it could be used in a level, but it's definitely haunting though. This kind of feels like music from like a certain genre of game that I kind of don't remember playing, but I'm kind of getting the feeling I've played this game before with this kind of music.
It's sort of got that industrial rock vibe to it that I'm a pretty big fan of. Like when that higher synth sound comes in, it just kind of builds to the atmosphere and I think it sounds really cool!
I really like the groove you set up - the percussion feels very authentic and the panning tinkling pad adds a really cool layer of depth. The low piano closed chords are an interesting choice that people are often told to stay away from in music theory, but a Halloween battle theme seems like the perfect exception to the rule as it gives a muddy, uncertain, ominous feel which you probably are intending for the listener to feel. Good work and thank you for sharing!
Great atmosphere! The piano in the lower registers adds something ominous (although, using thirds(?) in the lower register, the sound is sometimes a bit muddy).
I love the sounds that appear between 48" and 1'18". A sort of mallet/marimba. What's that?
Thanks for the feedback!
This is Nexus2, Metal Artwork
I like the production on this especially in the acoompaniment low piano chords and off-beat clap
I really appreciate the determination in this song! I could definitely picture this being around a boss battle.
I will say though, while I was listening my ears were having trouble "resting" on any one part. I think this is because the melody and the accompaniment are clashing against eachother fighting for attention. I would love to see more clarity with the melody!
One thing I do appreciate are the bell-ish sounds that are sprinkled throughout. They are a really nice addition for hinting at the Halloween theme you are going for.
Nice work with this.
