This game was created for "Spooktober N64 Style Graphics Jam #3" and the soundtrack for "Spooky Tune Jam 2023". We had to rush through the soundtrack, so we're definitely gonna revisit this again in the future.
P.S. the mix in the webgl version is garbage. We highly recommend downloading the MP3 instead.

This definitely nails the theme! I just wish the guitars weren't so thin and had more EQ variation so it wasn't quite so muddy because the piece is written so well and fitting.
Blood and “Gourd”. Nice.
Those octave leaps in the main guitar riff really sell the frantic/unhinged intensity of a boss fight (that combined with the gallopy drums). There’s a cool ascending chromatic idea at 0:35 to represent (in my mind) the growing intensity of the boss fight.
Also, cool visualizer!
I not only enjoyed the track a lot, but all of the surrounding stuff as well like the demo game, the promo art and even the name "Blood and Gourd". That's my kind of jam. ;) Great job!
Wow, this has a lot of energy to it! I’m definitely amped to fight some pumpkins! Thanks for sharing!
Awesome work! Really like how well this fits with the actual gameplay of the game, giving this whole project an overall DOOM style with Halloween flair. Keeps a constant pace with the boss fight intensity that I really like, great job!
Caused me to bob my head along so mission accomplished. This definitely gives me Halloween boss vibes. I think the intervals really helped with that and were a good choice.
The production value was also good. The stacked guitar is a nice touch and helps give the track a heavy energy (that and the epic drums).
Also, the playable demo music video was really fun. It was so well made that if someone told me that it was a real N64 game, I'd believe them.
Great work!
This is a headbanger right here. I love how you got those guitars, they're sounding ridiculous. It also fits the theme very well, to be honest I almost could hear the guitar before I ever even started listening to the song just based off the game's promo art alone. Awesome job, keep it up!
Oh and killer drums btw.
