I love the concept, such a cool idea! There was a nice suggestion in the chat from Legend to be able to upgrade the mine itself and get the valuable gems more frequently!
Cool game, the movement felt way too slow at first but that's what upgrades are for. The sound effects were a little harsh to me but were otherwise good gem noises. The diminishing returns on selling felt like a rip off, would hope to make more money per gem from more gems instead of less. The difficulty curve for upgrades could use some work but it's fine for a game jam.
Good work getting this set up in a little over 3 hours!
Great game, very entertaining despite simplicity
I know you told me not to... but I tried to finish the game anyway :D
Only 1,730 coins away from (what I think were) the last upgrades
I like the shop but I would have increased the reward when more gems are sold. For example:
Thank you, you deserve the full "congrats !!"
I knew people would try anyway, but it is really unfeasible, I removed the last upgrade step (896) in my calculations for the market, but I forgot to reduce the last upgrade, so the overall market sales are 2x896 coins short... And I went crazy with the 200 gold, with no time to test, it takes way too much time to mine, sorry for that !
I agree that it might seem weird that the reward goes down, however it would be less consistent with real sales: You are the seller here, so, the more you sell at once, the less people will pay per unit... And it is also more rewarding at start for the player, when you really need to improve your trolley, and less rewarding at the end, when you are simply farming for the last upgrades...
