It took me a while, but I managed to get 114m!
A suggestion would be to give the player a bit of 'time' of invincibility after turning to 'red' (which I suppose meaning that they turned into a more damaged state), because sometimes I lose immediately after touching one of the walls. Good game though!

Developer

that’s a great idea and would’ve only been a few extra lines of code. I’ll keep it in mind for next time. Thanks for playing!

Really fun game, and I managed to make it to the kill screen which starts at 840m. There is also a glitch where when you press start and immediately go to the right or left, you glitch through the wall.

Developer

hahaha I can’t believe you made it so far! Originally I was going to spawn the walls in segments so that the game goes forever but I had an issue with the colliders so I just scrapped it and manually placed. As for the glitch where you can clip through the wall.

I ran out of time but I actually had a plan for it. It occurs because there is a frame where you are invincible because you get essentially two lives. I could’ve made all of the colliders bigger or I could have stopped movement when hit for a few seconds but decided to just leave it in and focus on other bugs.

Thanks so much for playing!

88 m! Really nice game easy to play on loop! I  failed several time at the same places, so me playing was even more on theme! I liked the text 'cutscene' as it is :)

Developer

thank you! I should’ve developed the story in the text pop up. Maybe next time I’ll just do that haha. Thanks again for playing.

38.6m! I like the game. It's fun to play & I found myself replaying it quite often :D

Next time, try to find a creative solution instead of creating an apology. For me, it would have been perfectly fine to read a story at the start, that you are the biggest gigolo of the kingdom & now got kicked down a cliff. No cutscene needed.

I think you've done a good job with the pixelart & the character, but pixelart is not a fitting style for every game. Games with a lot of camera-movement (like this one) should better use smooth graphics like 3D, high-res png or svg.

You made an insanely good job in picking the right audio! Cool that you also gave credit, so I could add this website to my resources :)

Developer

great call on the apology, you’re totally right. Thank you so much for playing! With the music, I feel like I need to credit the creator haha, it’s important so I hope people checked out their music.

Cool game, I really like the audio. Solid entry.
