I really liked the visuals and the audio, and the concept of racing against the sun was great, especially since you can see the sun setting in the background. I agree with the other commentors that the controls made it harder to complete the levels; personally I think implementing coyote time (allowing the player a few extra moments after leaving the ground to jump) would on its own alleviate a lot of my control problems.
I managed to beat level 1 with less than a second to spare, but could not get past the bridge on level 2. Both levels seemed cool though!
Hello c10ud_ten,
Thank you very much for your feedback! Regarding the idea of Coyote movement, it’s a great suggestion that we will implement very soon, thanks again! As for level 2 where the bridges are located, I wasn’t satisfied with that area when I created it. In the future, I’ll try to replace them or change the collisions.
Have a great day and thanks again!
This is a good start. Maybe controls could work a bit better. I was often stuck at the edge of a mushroom. Music is nice, maybe some sound effects can complement very well. Can see this being build further to a nice game. Good job! :-)
Hello Gaube,
Thank you for your feedback!
It's true that our game lacks effort in the sound department, and we will fix that as soon as possible. Regarding player control, we've had some difficulties with it, and we will improve that as well!
Thanks again! :D
overall it's good, but I think the player controller needs a bit of work. If you miss a jump you stick to ledges, and then you can just jump back up. The jumping also feels a little inconsistent at times.
Hello CasualGameDev,
Thank you for your feedback. However, you need to understand that we only had three hours to make this game. With such little time, some problems are inevitable. We are well aware of the controller issues and we will fix them.
yeah, I get that. For three hours it's pretty good, but I was just saying what I thought could be helpful in the future.
Nice atmopshere, the gameplay is solid but needs a bit of improvement, such as the player hanging on platforms after missing a jump.
Good job!
Funny interaction: if you try to crawl (CTRL) and try to move forward (W) you close the game window (CTRL+W)
nice game! liked the music, also really like that you can choose which level to play! I'm not very good at platformers so not having to complete level 1 in order to see level 2 was nice :)
Hi Cat Austin-Hawkins,
We plan to continue the project after the game jam, letting players choose which level they want to do. Thank you for your feedback!
Hi! Sorry, I meant that it is good that they currently can choose which level they want to play :) As I couldn't complete Level 1, it was nice to be able to play Level 2 without completing the previous level.
good game but shame i only have a trackpad so its a bit hard to control. thats not your fault though. good job
Hi MrHolmes,
Thank you for your feedback!
We plan to continue the project after the game jam, trying to improve trackpad compatibility.
It is a fun game, but the mouse sensitivity is too much, it is hard to control.. Maybe you can consider adding an option to adjust the sensitivity. Other than that, it is matching with the theme. Good job!
Hi elifnazlib,
Sorry we forgot to mention this in the project description, this “error” is only present in the Web version. Sensitivity is normal in the Windows version. Thanks for the feedback!
Edit: We plan to continue the project after the game jam, we will add this feature!
