How long was your dev time?
6 and barely managed it, that is why in the end I decided no audio for the game :c

Well done! Clean visuals, solid gameplay, and a fun little romp. The lack of tells for when the lasers were going to go off was really frustrating at times, but otherwise a really fun game that had a lot of balance. If you do add sound, I'd love to give this game more of my time!

Amazing job on this game! It's impressive how they managed to create such an entertaining and polished experience. The graphics are lovely which really adds to the atmosphere of the game.

I love how they implemented the use of simple but effective mechanics. The controls are intuitive and the difficulty is very well balanced, allowing any player to enjoy it without getting too frustrated.

Cool game! Give me the vibes of Tomb of the mask. But the addition of a boss that shows if you don't finish the level quick makes it more exciting to finish. I would love to continue playing more levels.

Thank you! and yes when I started the jam I thought the movement mechanics I was going for were similar to Tomb of the Mask so I decided to go more in that direction since I love the game, I really like the fast and smooth movement and it was a good fit for my idea.

Maybe I end up making a post-jam version with more (and better tested) levels and of course with sounds and music haha

Great game, a lot of fun!

Loved the idea of having to be quick at all times and reminded me a lot of the chasing sequences of Celeste while having to solve puzzles at a fast pace to avoid being caught up by the skull.

Despite the simplicity, I love that type of art, and congrats on the game.

Audio was missing unfortunately, but awesome game and would love to implement the concept in the future in a game of my own.

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you had a lot of fun playing the game!

I think I got very lucky while making the art because I usually remake everything a million times, but with this game almost every first idea felt like a perfect fit for it, the color palette, the art style, the gameplay, etc. sadly the only thing I didn't plan that much was audio.

Hopefully for next time I'm better prepared to implement audio haha

Nailed the brief here nice one :D

Timing was absolutely integral to success! The little delay on the spikes etc was great! Realising I could out run them if I was quick was a nice little 'F** yeah* moment :D

The big  boy skull caught me out the most tbh, would love to playthrough without the ever present threat, but tbh it totally helps nail the 'You don't stand a chance' vibe.

Art's simple, and pleasing to the eye as well!

Thank you I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

and yeah haha with the jam theme I had the idea for the big skull being an unstoppable threat from the start, but yes I think with a few more mechanics and ideas the game could work without it.

Glad you liked the art! I think I got lucky with it and all my first choices felt like a perfect fit, the colors, the art styles, etc.
