This is the most underrated game yet!! I find it absolutely exquisite!! I saw a glimpse of the Chinese characters when I first ran it and the elements were being loaded. I recognized the artistic style as distinctly Taoist in feeling (rather than Japanese Zen), soothing but somber and sad, disciplined and faded. Everything about this game is pure poetry, and as a connoisseur of Oriental Art I must sing its praises as softly yet as resoundingly as I can. It's incredible how you interpreted a Japanese franchise in the context of a traditionally Chinese story of Identity and Dynasty. The puzzles proved too puzzling to resolve immediately, and I have yet to finish all of them, yet that only inspires within me an air of mystery for whom the stage was set by the sheer brilliance of design. I was sorely disappointed by the low ratings by my fellows; I would rate it F!RST (1st) PLACE in Visuals!! It's admirable that you even allowed for it to be played in one of two languages; I regret that I cannot return the favour. Hopefully not too much of this comment is lost in translation, though I trust your ability, since your use of English, even when it breaks with grammatical convention, is so poetic and precise that it leaves one speechless. (despite how many good words I have to say in its favour. :-) Most Underrated Masterpiece. Sincerely, Linji. (that's my Chinese name. ;-)
I got to the final boss fight and then the game threw a syntax error and crashed D:
The puzzle mechanics weren't well explained at all (and some gameplay functions like setting rows/columns to yellow so they could be walkable again were hidden in the pause menu? I assume that was a workaround for RPGMaker reasons), but gameplay was pretty fun once I figured out the basics.
This game looks like it had a lot of content I wasn't able to make it to, but the lack of really understanding what I need to do besides not retrace my step made that hard unfortunately. It seems like there were a lot of rules, options, and complications right off the bat, so maybe it would have benefited from being a lot simpler and self-explanatory. I can't fully judge since I couldn't see any of the dialogue, but it looks like there's a lot of effort put in so I'll judge based on that as well. Nice work!
You can install the font to solve the problem.(In the file)
(and we have already tried our best to make English.ver)
