Usage of DOTS/ECS in this project
Spawning buildings and the non-trivial number of citizens as well as the super cheap pathfinding along the regular grid and all "collision"-type logic are handled in ECS systems. No Jobs though ;)

A fantastic submission!
The top-down perspective on the city with all the flashing lights is a great aesthetic for this theme, and it does a good job of simulating a lot of entities in a way that fits your design. Impressive!
The game is a great demonstration of what DOTS can do and is pretty fun to play. In the late game it does feel like I'm running circles around the police, one idea to mitigate it could be to implement a quarantine system, where parts of the map are inaccessible to the player, forcing you to be a bit more mindful of how you move around. Also, I love that everything about the the visuals and the soundtrack just exude the cyberpunk aesthetic! Great work!!
Thank you!
Yes there is a lot of things that could be improved especially about the "endgame". I like the quarantine system idea. I just ran out of time and energy in the end and was happy to have it playable in time from start to finish with no glaring bugs :)
First I didn’t understand you had to hold right click and not just click it, and by the time I got it there were so many white lights that turning people green didn’t make any difference. Tried playing it again and just held right click from the beginning and eventually I won.
Police was a bit too easy to escape from.
Thank you for playing, twice, even! Yeah I agree, police are a bit slow now. The number of white dots does not increase over the course of the game, they just have different work shifts where they head out of their homes to produce barrier power or be policemen, but I can see how it feels that way while playing.
Very cool concept. Although I was never able to make a dent in the shield! Groovy music, intuitive controls/instructions.
Thank you for playing!
The barrier can be broken, it just needs some time and patience until the rebels outweigh the workers, have a work shift, and do their anti-jobs until they win a tug-of-war against the workers. I kind of knew that mechanic was very unintuitive, though :D
