Nice little game, loved the effects and the general gameplay!

Developer

thanks for the nice words, Mblaster.

The player controller is really good. I like the construct block but it is a bit repetitive to always need to round trip to seek new blocks. The jiucyness of enemy dying and camera is cool. You could do a little faster gameplay (by level design) and it would be great !

Thank you so much for the advice. I know that the base mechanic could’ve been done better, and I do plan to extend this project. I have ideas on how to fix this that I either a.) didn’t come up with until after the jam, or b.) didn’t have the time to implement. I hope you will stick around to see these improvements and additions, and comments like these are invaluable to helping me improve the game.

thanks for the follow! I’m going to participate in the trijam next weekend, so  I hope you check out my entry to that! I’m going to follow back. Thx so much. I’m going to bed now, but I’ll make sure to play and review your game tomorrow!

Thanks. I really wanted to know if the platformer controller I made was as good as I thought it was, but I do still have improvements to make to it, e.g, more jump buffer when you are about to hit the floor, variable jump height, better hang time, etc. but I am still experimenting with how long the acceleration and deceleration curves should work on movement and jumping, but it is good to know you like it. I hope you stick around to see how the project improves and evolves during further development.

Developer

I would play your game, but unfortunately, I have an iMac, but it looks really impressive! Good job

Thank you for the nice words, this is my first game, and every bit of feedback is greatly appreciated. Also don’t worry, I have no plans of stopping. Thanks again!

This is really cool! I was able to get the executable to work, however the game would crash when I tried to enter the third level. The concept of removing platforms and putting them somewhere else is really a really cool idea.

Developer

I know it crashes, after a repeat play through after submission I found that bug. It has been fixed now, I have a link to Git repository in the description with a bug fixed version.

My computer is REALLY not liking that executable you have in the download. Is it supposed to be running the game?

Developer

No, it is an installer for the game. Would you like a zip file? I can make one and upload to my Git repository in the description.

Submitted

Yes please! If it's not to much trouble that is.

Developer

okay, I will do that tomorrow, probably around 11:00 GMT tomorrow, so check the git repository after then at your earliest convenience

Developer

Sorry about taking so long, I just forgot to make it, but I will tomorrow, I promise. Sorry

I figured out how to get it to download. Don't worry about it!

Developer

That's good. I still need to get a worker for content updates, though

Developer

As it turns out, unfortunately it is. The Platform I am using, (GameMaker Studio 2) requires a remote worker, and the person who was providing this remote worker has stopped providing with his PC, so for the mean time, I cannot create Windows builds. I am going to try using a VM to run windows on my iMac just to compile for windows.
