You guys got an impressive amount of work done! You have a very engaging writing style that conveys at once the magical/fantasy atmosphere of your game. SUPER creative to have the randomization aspect so that the game can be "endless". The setting in a train and cycling through these drastically different story beats all nail the theme. Some of the beats are much more active and have the player make more decisions, and those tend to be the most engaging ones. I really liked the horror beat in which the text starts to change weirdly, the word "eyes" starts to blink and is written at a slant across the screen again and again -- that was really haunting!

Great entry! I really enjoyed playing it and reading your prose.

FOllow ThE caT!

That was phenomenal. I played it, I loved it and I want to see more! The interactive part of the game was so good, as I was writing and the text was showing up, kind of reminded me very high quality AAA text based games, I mean, really well-done to be honest. Definitely one of my favorite entries!

Thank you so much for your review , it made my day !
It's our first game in English, so we were kinda scared of messing this up (writing fluid surreal atmospheres and discussions can be hard when it's not your native language) so I'm really glad you liked your experience and got into it <3

(And we do plan to add more encounters in the future, to diversify the stories you can run into ; and to  add more warm / unsettling scenes, so you can definitely check this game in some months again to see how it changed !)

You don't need to tell me about writing in English, it's not my native language either and somehow it feels good when other people comment about it that, making fluid conversation or translation might be difficult. Thanks for making the game thou, hope to see more!

This is such a fantastic idea for a game! I love the unreal vibes each beat gives off, and I'm wanting more. To really enhance the experience I recommend playing with this audio playing in the back ground

It really gets the vibes right. (Also anything with a train in it is an automatic win). In addition the horror beat had me utterly fascinated in the lore of this world. I would love to see more beats. This game really made me feel like a traveller in a fantastic world, with awkward exchanges and insightful conversations that come with that. The only issue I have is that sometimes when you click on an option it will bring you to somewhere you did not want to go to. Overall I LOVED THIS SO MUCH and I want more please!

Thank you so much ;w, We were pretty scared of the reactions since we haven’t written like anything in English so it means a lot to have you enjoy it ! Thanks for the soundtrack suggestion as well ! It’s not something I think about but it is nice to have matching audio in the background

As far as the “broken links” go, it is a failure on my part but not a bug. My prompt for that beat was “a normal village that you fail to map in your head the further you go through” (at first every connection was randomized but I didn’t like that you could spend a while without getting back to the exit), and I agree that it isn’t communicated well– But we were only a few hours away from the deadline so we postponed playtests x)

And yeah trains rules !!!
