Hilarious, and impressively smooth

The sounds are funny, and there's a lot of variety here in terms of animations. They look good, very smooth, and you definitely weren't kidding with the "weird animations" option.

Also, for what it's worth, the Windows build runs in WINE. That's always a nice bonus.

Ah, interesting to know.

Yeah, I'm using and older version of GameMaker Studio, which makes me unable to make Mac, Linux or browser builds of my games.

Oh wow, when you said that you're reworking your game into a gallery, I did not expect it to have so much happening in it! The animations are great and there's so many of them! Love the pink on black look of the game, it's very visually pleasing. The music and sound effects fit the action really well, there's a strong sense of togetherness about everything. There are even little touches like the beating heart title and vibrating text to further change this from a simple "tech demo" to a "presentation". I would really love to see this concept developed into a full game, but I definitely don't think that anything is lost by "just" being in the gallery, because it's a really fun one!

Hey, nice that you checked my project. Yeah, even if I initially had bigger plans, I'm glad I at least got to release something worth sharing. And I think that with a good presentation even something simple can feel much more complete.

this was an Experience.  i was sort of imagining a linear narrative with the regular animations but then we got to the weird ones and it took some kind of turn.  incredible sound design from there on as well.  i think this has inscribed itself in some ancient primal part of my brain.  my spouse is next to me losing their mind, they can't stop talking about it

legitimately impressive to leave such a strong impression with what i thought was going to be a tiny tech demo, bravo.

thanks for participating!

Thank you very much. I had a strong idea to make a game where you play music with the character's body, going deeper and deeper through her "layers".

Well, due to me getting distracted by work (and playing games instead of making them) I changed my plans to focus on making as weird animations as I could with what I had already made. Also the music is partly randomly generated, so that's why it can sound rather weird.

If at all possible, I will participate in any future Strawberry Jams, as long as they're being hosted. Thanks for bringing this community together.
