i like the art and the movement feels pretty good
althought idk if its just me but the character seems to point a bit lower than where my cursor is
but still i like it
actually it the cursor was meant to be hidden but i forgot to hide it

So, that's your first jam, and you accomplished to create a game in 48 hours with movement, jumping, character walking animation, mouse pointing, restart mechanics, a hint system and 2D horizontal scrolling world? That's not a mess, that's definitely something :D
