Lovely game, very well written. I got Will good ending and I enjoyed it so much that I am reluctant to read another route XD

I like all the backround and explanations about what it is to be a gost (the obsession, the emotions that can be dangerous, etc.)

However, I am French and I couldn't help but notice some mistakes in the sentences pronounced by Sister Agnes:

*"Ouvre la porte! Je sais que tu EST dedans!": the verb is mispelled ("est" is for the third person singular. The second person should be "es"), and the last word is a bit akward. It would be correct to write it like this instead: "Ouvre la porte! Je sais que tu es Γ  l'intΓ©rieur!"

*"Mais qu'est-ce qui se passe les enfants? Pourquoi criez-vous?": "crier" in french doesn't mean "to cry", but "to shout". To cry="pleurer". So, the correct sentence would be "Pourquoi pleurez-vous?".

Sorry to point out these errors, but when you are french, those are quite immersion breaking. But I know how it is difficult to write in a foreign langage, my english is very akward^^

Apart from this, congratulation, this was a very pleasant story.

Thank you for your kind review! πŸ˜ŠπŸ’– I am so happy to hear that you enjoyed the story and its setting!!

Thank you also for pointing out the language errors!!! Haha.. yes I used to study French a while ago but haven’t used it in a long time… OMG!! I need to practise again!! I will definitely correct them in the upcoming versions of the game! πŸ˜…

Just to add… Sister Agnes has a few different lines in the other route… if you ever do read it and find any errors, please let me know! I’d really appreciate your input! 😊✍🏻

I got will's good ending... and teared up all through the end! Lovely story, insanely well put for the amount of time of the jam, lovely music and phase as well! Truly a beautiful game <3

A very sweet, wistful story that carries a lot of emotional impact. I'm always intrigued by stories about ghosts investigating their own pasts. I liked that even the scary ghosts weren't really evil, and I enjoyed the setting. One thing I'd change is those pixelated transitions--that just feels like a very high-tech looking transition for a story that's mostly about history.

Thanks for your kind review! πŸ’– I am happy to hear that you enjoyed the story! 😊 About the pixelated transitions... they are caused by lagging in the browser version of the game. I would recommend playing the downloaded version if you don't mind downloading the game into your computer! No pixelated transitions are used in the game, and in the downloaded version there will be no issues with delays in music and sound effects, which really gives you the full experience of the story!

Thank you again for checking out my game!!

Oh, I didn't realize that was just lag, haha. Never mind about that then! And check out my game as well: https://itch.io/jam/spooktober-vn-jam-2022/rate/1690696

I'll definitely do that! I took a look at your page just now and your VN looks fun!!! I might only be able to read it a little later though (last week of Oct) because something came up and I'll need to prepare for a trip!

The art was really nice and the story was impressive for a game written in a month. Great job on making a game with a lot of heart.

This was lovely.  William is so sweet!  The MC was frustratingly slow at understanding what was happening.  Haha.  But loved it.  Lovely UI too.

Thanks for checking out the game!! 😊 I am happy you found William sweet!! πŸ₯° Haha! Yes... the MC had a hard time coming to terms with the fact that nothing of her old world was left... the good and the bad... that's why she kept running away from William!!
