This is stressful but very fun! Did you use rigid bodies for the blocks? If so how did you get them to remember their position for each loop? Just brute force re-updating the transforms at key points?

Thanks! Yes the blocks are just rigidbodies and just brute force their positions. They record their position/rotation during their free loop every 1/30 seconds. On subsequent loops, they turn kinematic and play back their positions/rotations. It's not very optimized but worked well enough in most cases.

Happy New Year everyone!

My game combines 3 of the 12 themes from the jam: Restart (Day 3), Stack (Day 4), Time (Day 6). This is a very "new year" game. Every year is like another iteration of the time loop. You can't change the past, but you can learn from it and build upon it the next time around.

Stack and loop until you get bored or reach your desired stack height and get a new high score. It's a sandbox!
