SKAAATEEEE
A unique yet simple idea really turned into a fun and refreshing JRPG-esque experience, however lacking visually, it certainly adds to the simplistic charm of the game.
I Get This Call Every Day is about the everyday hassle of working in a call centre and having to deal with people who make your job more difficult than it needs to be. The customer you have to pleasure of talking to rarely responds to your questions with enough information to tick your requirements but asking him to elaborate usually makes him annoyed. You have to strike a fine balance between doing your job and placating him.
Great game, makes me glad I quit my last job. I've uploaded a silent playthrough of the game to YouTube here:
Interestingly, I actually did something similar with my own game, and discussed the topic here. However, I feel this game doesn't use its concept well at all. As performance art, it's amusing, but it's pretty much unplayable in practice, not least because having to maintain 99 party members simultaneously makes it run like molasses. Far too many of the characters are virtually identical, and there are far too many in general to meaningfully memorize and juggle their unique abilities. Points for effort, but this would have worked a lot better and still managed to get the joke across with about a third of the characters.
