  • Great game, this is exactly what I was hoping for, a game like this one! It felt so well made. It has a small narrative, interesting mechanics, challenges, really cool visuals especially for the restrictions. When playing the game I was sad that it was over when I won, so it would be really cool if you'd work on it after the jam :D

You thought me the mechanics really well in a relatively safe environment, which is great design in my opinion. No need for tons of text to explain every single detail, no just let the player play and have fun figuring things out. This way I felt even better about myself after overcoming obstacles!

The only thing I could give as feedback is that you could make the walljumping a bit more reactive. I got how to do it after a while (because it somehow felt unnatural to me), but it still felt awkward even when I "mastered" it.

Great gameplay, great design, nice visual. Solid entry!

What are the two shapes you selected?
Star and Triangle

What parts of the game did you create BEFORE the jam?
Only used the shapes image on the Jam page to create my own .svg version of the shapes. Nothing else.

What parts of the game are from external assets (NOT created by you)?
All art assets are created by me.

Smooth control and sweet music. But how do I get over this gap?

Really solid offering. The game is interesting. The level of difficulty is spot on. The level of polish is excellent. Your use of the shapes is 100%. It's not always easy to perform those double jumps, but well worth the effort to see the long lost friends reunited!

The game feels quite polished for a Game Jam game. The mechanic that you need to collect those Diamonds could have been more explained, as it was quite unclear.

Overall I'd give this game a solid 7/10!

I disagree with the need to provide more explanation. I think that the only thing that SHOULD be explained to the player (especially with regards to platformers) is how to control the character. The rest of the mechanics can be learned along the way.
