  • Really good start on a survival horror game! This closely imitates the design and aesthetic of Resident Evil -type PS1 horror games in a good way, down to the door mechanics and oblique camera. This had me on edge a little even though the monsters are yet to emerge. I think with a little more time on this the game could be fleshed out and developed into a decent horror experience - the groundwork is all here and it's looking great!

Some ideas for polishing the game - one of the downside of the pre-rendered PS1 era is that it was exactly that: pre-rendered. One benefit of creating 3D games in this day and age is that the environments and areas players can explore can animate and react to player input. An idea may be to make assets or environments that can incorporate movement and animation to create a world that is a little more lively and responsive to the actions of the player than the very inert and sterile world of the PS1 pre-rendered era. Excited to see how this game shapes up!

Thanks a bunch for submitting to SCREAMWORLD!

Thank you :)
I'm glad you like it!

I'm planning to update it after the voting period. I don't know how much time I'll have but I want to finish it sometime.

Although I have a few technical nitpicks, I really like the control scheme and atmosphere. c:

Thank you :)

I tried to achieve the athmosphere and the controls of the survival horror classics.
