• This is a great use of the adventure game format to create a short, tense horror game. I like how the game mirrored the conventions of the psychological horror genre, namely the unification of random characters in an unfamiliar environment. I particularly liked the arc in the narrative of the plot that one of the characters was not what they seemed - and left it to the player to guess who it could be. Maybe in a longer, more developed game the 'clues' could have been a little more nuanced! Even though the game was brief, it's obvious a lot of effort was put into writing and the mounting tension of the game is managed well. It's also great that the horror was entirely constructed out of that increasing tension and gore, and not a cheap jumpscare. The ending monster was truly a unique, twisted little creation, with a fun concept of creating deformed beings to win over the player character. It would have been nice to learn more about the context of the relationship and the meaning behind the bizarre situation that the player character found themselves in. Even without context, this is a well-polished short horror game that dealt with the limitations of the jam really well, and created something fun and memorable to boot!
