This definitely had one of the coolest art styles of the game jam. It looks so awesome. I just love the sprites and animation so much. Amazing work. Well done on your entry!
Really liked the style of this one. Also, I love the detail of having the DSD area use the traps from Dungeon of Alexandria. Very nice touch.
Amazing walk cycles! Great character design.
The artwork and animations in this game are quite nice. I appreciate the exaggerated and cartoony feel they have.
Really nice art! The zombie bots are surprisingly menacing.
Really love the character designs and animations. Those lips! The shooting mechanic had a nice feel as well. Just wish the ammo was a bit more forgiving. Really cool game though!
I am running into a little hiccup getting the game to work, it looks like this as soon as I start the game and no keys/mouse click seem to allow it to progress:
I'm using mouse / keyboard and don't have a controller at hand, maybe I'll give it another go when I can try out with a controller. The character art looks great from what I can see so far!
On keyboard, you will need to press "E" to advanced the dialogue first.
Hmm, I've tried E along wtih all the other keys listed and it's still stuck. Odd. I'll try controller later or even just redownload the whole thing later.
Edit: Redownloaded and it worked ok this time! Really character animations, fun shooting mechanics. Cool throwback to Alexandria's dungeon from last year's jam :D
The Saturday-morning cartoon artstyle and animations were awesome! I couldn't figure out the DSD thing and gave up after a few tries, and I'm not sure if I skipped a scene somehow at the beginning? Some neat ideas in there.
Thanks for the kind words. When it came to completing this project for the Game Jam, I bit off a little more than I can chew, as a result both the start and the DSD segments are a bit unfinished, so don't worry you didn't miss anything. (If you reached that final area of the DSD segment, consider that a win!)
