Thanks bro! Glad you liked! We were a tad behind schedule and needed to start another project (Egon and me) - so, we didn't really pushed into finishing it properly as we should. Sadly this happens in most game jams I guess. I hope to find some time at some point to finish it properly as portfolio piece. Great work with your entry as well! Love it
Reaally cool! I did spect this to be a nice game, but is actually really awesome, and has everything a reboot should have, I love the environment, the background pixel-art is gorgeus.
About gameplay, I do think that's improvable, maybe adding a procedurally generated world with endless enemies would make it longer and funnier.
Great game, specially in terms of art!
Wow, sorry that I missed these messages! Thanks a lot Julen, well, the 'pixel art' is not ours tbh with you, it's just a place holder that was left unintentionally in there, since we rushed the build to just a few minutes before/during the dateline, so I even forgot to turn it off. The gameplay for the first level of R-Type is that short actually. It's a shame we couldn't really finished even so. The point of the first R-Type game, in my opinion is more so that its a mix of shrump with some strategy at the same time. So enemies are kinda positioned strategically to kinda force your route, deliberately. In this case, we were just copying shamelessly right from the original scene as well XD
Like Egon (Programmer) said, it's a shame that code can't really bee seen as part of a game creation, since he did a great job into making everything really structured and efficient. I guess the 'inefficient' part of the game is just me trowing too sloppy art (because it was a jam) in there without worrying as I should normally do in terms of performance :)
Cool concept. Feels a bit sluggish at times. and could use more player feedback when things happen on screen. Would also like constant fire other then click for each bullet.

Totally agreed with your feedback man! Thanks a lot for giving it a try! Your game was really interesting as well!
