Neat concept. I would just add it would be nice to have like a life bar for the enemies so that you can see their life drain. Coz at first I thought it wasn't working. Other than that, I think it was an awesome submission

Very good game overall, theme connection is well implemented and the mechanic is pretty good, gameplay is basic and smooth, more sound fx and vfx would be nice tho.

Overall a very good idea and usage of the theme. Controls can be improved, like usage of a mouse-while (scroll -> magic selection) or 123-keys for magic selection (for making it more intuitive).

Nice job! Pleasing choice of colors and fun game loop once you get the hang of it. I must say it took me a few minutes to figure out what to do despite the tutorial though.

That said, designing and then building a game in any timeframe, let alone a week is a commendable achievement and you should be proud! Quite impressive for your first gamejam project!
