Would it be ok to take an existing project as a base and adapt it for this jam?

Or could Late Shift Larry have a new adventure?

hello, You can use assets from your project, but not the project itself as there is a rule specifically for this.

  • All games must be created during the jam. Projects started before are disqualified (unless they are remade entirely within the jam’s timeframe).

Well, the idea would be to take the characters and code and add the theme and gimmick to a new set of levels?

Or use the existing project as a base for the new game so the levels and theme/gimmick would need to be added from scratch as they are not in the Late Shift game?

^Yes. You can take the code and assets, but not use the project as base project.

OK
