Had a lot of fun with this one! The weapon variety was cool and so was the music. Only real nitpick I have (besides the issues with not sticking to the theme per-se) was that jumping up onto tiles could feel a bit weird, like their hitboxes extended further than expected or something.
Very nice little game. I made it to the end of level 1, I liked the western theme with time travellers xD, art and music were good. I think the camera should be centred at the player and the bullets bigger and more visible. Other that that, you did a very good job.
This was definitely an ambitious project, with a lot of great art and music work. Nice job! Here's my playthrough.

yeah Alien Carnage / Halloween Harry depending on the country it was released in. I loved that game
