Nice game, lots of polish. Well balanced -- I only played on easy tho -- great art, decent audio design. Not much I can fault other than to suggest for the web / PC build that you include a custom cursor, as I often times find that with the standard windows one that I lost track of it easily when whipping it around.

Good job on the game, felt pretty nice while playing. But since this a post jam I'll try to be as critical as possible with my feedback.
Art. Despite the fact that its pretty cute, it lacks something. First of all, Fungus shouldn't be green. That could be count as an artistic choice, but real problem is that it has exact same color as the background. It kinda blends. Then, there is total abscence of background. I think this kind of game should have one. Also animations, I'll also cover this in gameplay section, since it relates with the enjoyment of the game, but yeah, game feel a bit static.
Gameplay is pretty fun, kinda reminded me of a fruit ninja, same kind of clicker. But there are major problems with that comparisson.
Firstly, Fruit ninja's whole selling poitn was juicyness, you feel satisfaction when you get that clean cut of many fruits. You can easily add that satisfacton here too. Maybe by adding some mechanics, like capturing multiple flies at once, or by adding more animations and sfx.
Secondly, mechanics. For now there is nothing to a game, except for just simple clicking around. You basically just have to aim good to get the score. Yes, you have a little progression here, when flies become a bit faster and spawn more frequiently, but there should be more to it. Maybe some kind of bombs, that blow up green flies, maybe some buff-fruits that let you eat even protected things, or maybe some kind of slowmotion effect. There are a lot of things that could be added here)
Overall, for now its too "jam" game. For it to be considered something more, you should definitely add more things. But given enough time its very doable. Good luck!
This is a ton of fun! Sprites are super good and also the nice litle touches like the small amount of screen shake when you click a bad thing or the outlines around the clickable stuff add a lot to the feel of the game. My only real complaint graphics-wise is that I feel the UI elements could look a little nicer and more consistent with the game. Also, now that there's this beautiful body of water, the sky could maybe also use some subtle clouds or something. Love the color scheme, though.
The music loop could be a little longer and more varied, gets pretty repetitive pretty quickly.
A few more small bugs:
- How to play: Point 4 is called point 5, and the fungus is still called frog.
- When you retry a level, funny stuff happens. The whole screen fills up with stuff.
- Typo in the game over screen, you wrote "dasiy" instead of "daisy"
Apart from that, great job! The game concept may not be the most original thing in the world, but it's very well executed.
Very cool & juicy game ! Feels very addictive. it made me click rety a bunch of times :)
The visuals are cute. The sfx match neatly and pop nicely th music is really nice also and fit the game.
The difficulty are pretty well adjusted. (I would incease the easy mode sligtly as it tend to be very long before it ramps up)
I also agree with the feedback bellow. a rety button that make you jump right back into it is a big plus to keep you player engaged longer (the "okay one more try to beat that score" click is important for that kind of games)
In terms of improvement I don't see much. It's already pretty well rounded. Maybe add a more styled background. Maybe a few more kind of flies. Maybe a bonus fly that's harder to catch but give more points ?
Noticed a few grammar mistake, and the MC is stilled called a frog in the "how to play" section.
All in all It's a really cool mini game. would play really neatly on mobile. Great job :)
Thanks for checking the game out and sharing your feedback. I appreciate it! I've since updated the game with the "retry" button and added a log for the frog to sit on in some water. I've updated the "how-to" section to make it more apparent that the MC is a frog named "Gus" and they're wearing a toadstool hat. Great idea about some more kinds of flies, including a special bonus one.
Your game is simple and enjoyable. I can see myself getting sucked into this for hours. The graphics and animations all look really nice. The only thing I would recommend is when You click retry instead of bringing you back to the menu it would just restart the match and then have a different button for the menu.
