i have never seen poetry like this before (which is probably the point lmao) – i liked it quite a lot, especially Raspberry and Just jam it in.

Host

"Sugar, Lice, Screams from Paradise" by TartanLlama aka Sy (twitter/website). I liked the short and simple description of "An experimental poetry microchap on jam and gender." that was followed by an in depth definition of jam on the project page. Then I opened up to the color-coded (as if the jam isle of the grocery store) index and rubbed my hands together. (I admit to being a lover of jam. My partner can confirm.) Each jar of jam is a different variety of captured trans/non-cis experiences in the writer's eyes. They paint this visual very well, and I really enjoyed how they used color. If I hadn't just had dinner, I would've wanted toast and jam. It's the most visual-based experience of the submissions so far, and I really enjoyed what it was doing. I don't want to give away the fun of the jams, but I hope you check it out!
