  • Love the art style and from the description of the game and your GDD, it looks like a game I would love to play in the future! I am curious to see how you implement the alchemy part and what the battles are like, too! You have a solid base, keep up the good work!

Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?
Yes in the game description

Seriously... did you include your Game Design Document?
Yes

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes

Tell us about your game!
A lot of the mechanics I wanted to implement didn't make it so it turned into a walking simulator. This game is more of a show don't tell since I didn't know how to implement text boxes.

Extra Notes
Most of the days I had to work on this mostly went into art and the last 2-3 days before the game jam ended I coded. I am new to Godot but not to coding. I have a good idea of how to implement all the mechanics I want, but I need to learn more about Godot first.

Also I respond in Discord faster than email.

It was nice walking around (~^w^)~ and i do like the art.

That said, I totally understand the godot part. Finding a good way to make dialogue box in game and managing dialogue is probably one of the things I found annoying to do in godot, even with some plugin (like dialogue-manager or dialogic).

Still, thank you for posting your submission ! (^w^)

Thank you for the comment! :D

I almost didn't submit it but the Discord community encouraged me to. :)

Funky artstyle, it's got some potential.

As it stands everything is too zoomed in to get an idea of where you are or where you are going. I think you may have done something wrong with the camera in Godot before upload. Being able to go fullscreen, which was just a tickbox on upload, would've made a huge difference. Also apart from doors leading to other areas nothing else seemed interactable.

The potential is there, especially with your cool artstyle. Best of luck on your next jam!

Seems like the viewport got a bit messed up on upload so there's that haha. Yeah I wasn't able to get a working chatbox done in time to add more interaction to the game. I might go back and add the rest of the planned mechanics when I find some time.

Thanks for the feedback! This was my first time ever participating in a game jam and definitely looking forward to the next one. :)
