- The visual style is very pleasant to look at, and the music complements it well. I like the control mechanics for the runes. However, it would be more interesting if the runes had more interactions between the alchemist and the shadow. The game loop works well, but it would benefit from a variety of upgrades.

Very cool concept. I enjoyed controlling the player and the shadow. The art is all top notch. Well done!
Thanks!!! : )
It took me a minute to figure out, but it's a really fun game! Controller support was a godsend. Artstyle and home cooked music is well made and much appreciated! Very nicely done!
Thanks!!! I do prefer a controller for the game, definitely feels easier to play vs keyboard for me.
pretty cool game once you get the hang of it, but I found it really overwhelming at the start... I think it would help to clarify in the description some things, for example whats the difference between a volley (thing you shoot) and runes (thing spinning around you)
the main mechanic is also tricky because you cant tell the player apart from the shadow super well and you have to learn a bunch of different mechanics in the first couple levels
for those also struggling here are some hints:
- some ghosts have runes spinning around them, you can only kill them by switching to that rune with your player
- the big shadow circles vanish when the shadow player stands on them
- the shadow shapes have to be traced with the shadow player
Thanks for checking it out and the feedback! Left things vague to be discovered, early on I thought about adding a tutorial but opted to focus efforts elsewhere and have the first experience be a chaotic one with a lot of friction as you learn how to deal with each mechanic.
Incredible game with a nice difficulty since you are controlling two characters.
the art is very nice reminds a bit of early 3d games and it rocks that aesthetic
this take on a Vampire Survivor-esque gameplay but more active is so much fun and scratches an itch in my brain.
I would love to see more of this good job for your first game jam!
Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.
Thanks for checking it out, glad you liked it! : )
