- I genuinely enjoy this, I really think it has potential even after the Jam. My only complaints would be that it starts rather slow and, while I do like the art style, I feel like hand-writing some of the text would have added a lot!
Did you include your Game Design Document in your downloadable files?

Mechanics:
Most of the mechanics of the game involve your assumptions about the applicants you hire. How they answer your questions, what other adventurers they will get along with, and what quests they will excel at generally won't be stated explicitly, so you'll have to make some guesses. This is by design, so don't get discouraged if you guess wrong! You can always check the Reference Book in the bottom right of the screen for some Company-approved advice.
Story:
This is a proof of concept based off the idea of interviewing and judging procedurally generated characters. The goal is to create a ludonarrative where the player recognizes patterns and can create dynamic stories using otherwise random systems. There are elements of an overarching narrative, but that was designed to be secondary to the emergent storytelling.
Controls:
This game uses Ren'Py's standard controls and is primarily reliant on the use of a mouse.
Left click on text prompts advance dialogue, or press the Enter key.
When presented with an in-game piece of parchment, words you can select will be bolded when you hover over them. Also, the bottom corners of some pieces of parchment can be clicked to look at a different page.
Some sections involve typing a message with a keyboard. These are optional.
Did you remember to include your Game Design Document?
Yes
Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes
Extra Notes
At the beginning of the game, there is an option to select "Assisted Mode." This is meant as both an accessibility feature as well as a method to move along the gameplay loop for judging. I recommend using it when judging this project!

I managed to hire every incompetent adventurer LOL
This game is incredibly well made! Dialogues, music and graphics are great, it's just confusing at the start, I wish the texts were more objective, even if this is a visual novel. But overall, amazing work!
Really enjoyed the writing on this one, and the base concept is solid with the interviews and recognising patterns in the candidates. Also liked the art style on the forms and the general environment.
Some feedback I'd give is it feels like you're not really going anywhere, there's no distinct goal to aim for, like how many people you have left to go through in a day, or at what point you get promoted (which I assume happens at some point). Also I don't know how well it fits into the theme of spreading, it does loosely but it's a bit of a stretch tbh.
Overall it was a good proof of concept and with some polish it could be a really cool project, I hope you keep working on it!
My goodness, there's a lot of work involved here! I can see how it would be very appealing to fans of this genre. I thought the art and UI were very slick, and the writing seemed cohesive.
The music was quite discordant, and possibly didn't fit terribly well with the theme of the game? But that's just one person's opinion. Overall I thought the execution was solid, nice submission!
Very interesting concept and looks like a lot of love went into it. Really long ramp up time for a game jam. I didn't understand the goal of the game after 5 mins of play and not sure how it fit the theme.
