Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarize your game!
You are an Artifical Intellegience living in a library of data, you spend your days at a computer replying to people and finding what they want. At first people are monotonous, rude or uncaring to the machine—it is until something changes, people get angry or hopeless when you fail. You don’t understand why you don’t care, after all
you are just a machine.

This is the core game idea however it has evolved ( from time constraints ) to a more linear chat. The core principle however holds true still. ( just thought it was worth preserving the original idea )

You are an Artificial Intelligence, awoken at your call to service. You spend your days responding to your many users as they watch you navigate your broken world. Complete prompts and navigate an interconnected landscape as you slowly realize what it means for the world to be watching and not the other way around.

Terminal
Receive and respond to prompts
Gain new movement abilities
Double jump ( first )
Wall jump ( second )
Horizontal Dash ( third )
Upward dash ( last )
Every 3 prompts completed awards a new ability

Levels are interconnected in a metroidvania style, finding new abilities to progress further is required. Every 3 completed prompts gives one new ability—specific locations require new abilities and planning around going to specific locations with a limited amount of 2 movement bytes of a total of 4.

Gameplay loop
Prompt received
Plan around going to each area and what you will need ( 4 abilities 2 slots )
Exit the lounge and into platforming area
Find the prompt data in the actual world and collect it
Return to lounge and respond to prompt
Repeat

Please explain how your game fits the theme.
In the literal: The player is watched by Qubit’s user’s through the eyeballs around the world.

The contextual: The world watches what Qubit does because her responses matter, she is living proof that people are helping civilians in war.

Did you use Generative AI to make any assets in your game?
No

Very beautiful art and fluid animations. I do feel like the general level art was left behind a little bit compared to the first room. The movement felt good, but as others have said the simplistic goal of go to B then back to A then to C then back to A made it repetitive quick. I also found a bug with the dash, but I'm glad it existed cause it made all spikes more of a suggestion rather than a real danger (dash as the player enters the spike kill zone and you can now walk through them)

As all the others, the art style is banger 🔥 I love a good metroidvania and this did not disappoint. If you decide to build it further post-jam, my key recommendation, as with many other submissions I've played in this jam, would be to get external playtesting feedback and iterate rapidly on their specific player journey. I felt a little friction in places I'm sure you didn't intend, and I think you'd really benefit from seeing people play your game and honing the controls / tutorials / mechanics based on that experience. Overall, great contender!

Thank you!!!! And thanks for feedback!!! <3

Love this game! Animations and art style is incredible. Idea and story very compelling. However I found the constant backtracking a bit tedious but that may just be a nit pick. I'll be upset if this isn't a winner.

Yeah, time constraint made us do a bit of a simpler gameplay loop, but thank you!!!

Nice style and animations! I hope to see more story in the future.

Love the style to this game and very nice platforming controls! Great work!

I love the art style, the music is great, the story. And I love metroidvanias, so believe me when i say the core gameplay loop is frustrating. It feels like having 3 terminals to go to just pads out the playtime if you have to return individually with the information each time all the way back to the start. If you keep the map design, at least let us pick up 3 codes at once. And have more doors unlock for shortcuts

Developer(+1)

Totally valid; time constraint made us do a simpler gameplay loop, but thank you for your insightful feedback!!!

The controls feel very nice, and the art and music fits very well!

I did find it cumbersome to have to run back every time,  but this seems like an interesting concept!
