Could not get past the first level, but the cell design was refreshing!
The way the game builds its levels using cellular automata gave it a dynamic and unpredictable feel, which was genuinely interesting. However, the lack of clear feedback (and the possibility of start/goal areas getting fully blocked) made it a bit hard to progress.
Thank you for your feedback! You can press rshift + backspace to skip levels if you want to try the other levels
I was very frustrated at first that I didn't understand anything, and then I got it with the readme!
I never could finish stage 1, maybe I did not get everything but after dying 3 times because the red area is totally isolated, I feel that your automata should have a little tweaks to always let a way in.
Anyway, well played, it's a great idea to include a cellular automata in a game like this, I never played a game like this, so thank you!
Thank you for your feedback! If you want you can press rshift and backspace to skip levels and try other stages.
I did understand what your game were ment to be, but it seems pure rng. until you just rush all in at the start of the level, and skip diagonal cells, which is pretty cool idea. I managed to beat the first level, the second level is pretty cool.
Now, the game is pretty buggy and hard to understand... the implementation could've been better, but I liked the idea, maybe just a little more polishing could work. but what impresses me most if the code being all in c++, which I find pretty awesome.
Thank you for your feedback! I had too little time to update the readme to the final game version, so to clear some confusion you can post here to ask and I will try to answer
