  • This is an overall solid game! It's a bit safe, but it works. I do wish the ball moved a bit faster and that the bounce was available more frequently. But not having that, is was I think makes this game fit the theme of the Jam, and added a layer of difficulty!

How does your game bring our theme, The Error is the Feature, to life?
The ball only works if you MASH the WASD keys, and I mean mash. It is a small physics based game with 3 challenges that I worked on over the spare time I had this weekend.

Did you include a fake publisher splash screen at the start of your game?

No

Did you use the Audius API in your game?

No

If AI was used in your game, let us know how you used it.
I used it for the code, apart from that, all design is done by me, Tate, a real human, no synths here

the concept is really cool however I couldnt with the input sound, since your are spamming it is really overwhelming

Really fun concept to spam WASD and jumping around, but that so hard. it was so gooood. simple and fun. I like the music and how it loops so smooth. there were quite good levels in my opinion and you make the good use of it. overall great game

I like the idea of mashing the WASD, it feels like the player has a lack of control and control at the same time.  what i mean by that is you can tune almost exactly how fast you want to go by mashing the buttons, it brings an analog nature to the binary keystrokes.  I also really like how you took the concept and expanded it to 3 different games, it really gives the player to explore the potential of the mashing mechanic.  The sounds were simple but they were surprisngly very satisfying, and matched well to the movement of the game, great job!

Really fun idea. I had fun.

Cool concept! Nice use of the theme, and there's definitely potential for some fun challenges. The first level was trickier than I expected, and the other two could be awesome with a few more enemies or obstacles. Nice work!

Neato!

A couple ideas for the "Several Bars" level:

  • Could count walls passed instead of time
  • Could make the camera follow the ball instead of staying still (so that players can go forward quickly instead of waiting)
  • Could increase the speed of the bars as time goes on
  • These could all be alternate game modes
Developer

all great ideas! Thank you!!
