Description
All of the music was composed using exclusively Diva in Logic Pro X.

Theme:

Two Worlds

How does it fit the theme?
The "Lost Kingdoms" all come from one parallel dimension, one where the "past" had not yet been lost to time. The soundtrack represents the process of "reconciling" the two dimensions.

This has a lot of very cute ideas! You seem to have a good ear for melodies and there's also a lot of nice accompanying parts, especially in the last track. It sounds very cute-sy, sort of like in the good old N64 days where games were bright and colorful and fun (or maybe it was me being younger back then, who knows).

If I were you, I'd try to focus on improving the sound quality at this point. Some instruments could definitely use some better sounding VSTs. Others, especially some instruments in the last track, already sound pretty good, but could maybe use a little more dynamic range. Also, water and wind effects were pretty nice.

This was gorgeous in some places. Your melodic writing is great, and you have some cool counterpoint happening. Love the vibes! Thank you for your work!

Mega Mario 64 vibes. Nice~!

I like a lot of different sections of your work, especially instrumentation choice for those catchy parts you wrote. If anything, I think they just need some more stuff to hold them together, which I can imagine is part of the hardship of the jam's limited time, though. Nice work!

Great job on the melodies. Simple and catchy. I love this! Each piece has a distinct character and style. Awesome!

Wow, who would have thought, that we would find Scriabin's lost opuses on this website!

Track 1: I appreciate the less-is-more approach, but think that you did a great job maximizing the three tracks you used. The juxtaposition of the serious minor straight rhythm with the playful major swing rhythm keeps thee track interesting throughout.

Track 2: This is a fun track! I like the rhythmic bass and how you wove it overtop itself to create both a chord progression and a texture that set the tone of the piece. I think your counterpoint is excellent in this track with the two conversing synths. This is my favorite of the three!

Track 3: Your instrument choice is spot on in this track. It is clearly both an underwater track and an ice track for sure. This track reminds me of Yoshi’s Story from the Nintendo 64 and shows that sometimes tracks work really well with just high register instruments like bells and don’t always need a constant bass underlying it. Thank you for sharing!

I really enjoyed your work!! You’re melodies were really well done, and I liked the atmospheric sounds in your last track. I feel like the song Home Stretch was a bit long, and maybe could’ve have benefited from some more variation after awhile, but it was still very good! Great job!
