Description
The soundtrack is very inspired by the music of Studio Ghibli, Hollow Knight, and Debussy. The first track (Maya's Theme) would be the theme of the whole game. It would play in any promotional trailers and as the game itself transitioned from the tuturial stage to the actual game. The second track (Friendly Fishes) would be during a level where the character interacts with many ocean animals as they help her accomplish a task. I used Reaper and Finale to write and record the music for this project. Cover art by @Kawaakar._

If this description seems weird and a little scattered, it's because I'm submitting this at 5 in the morning.
How does it fit the theme?
The picture seemed to communicate a relaxing story-based game with fantastical elements combined with serious topics, such as loss. I followed this fantastical idea as I wrote my pieces, as well as writing a cheerful theme to match the happy personality of the protagonist, with sadder sections to communicate the bittersweetness that the player will likely feel as they play the game.

I think its funny that other people mentioned Wet Hands by C418, because i heard some similarities too (the arpeggio in the left hand of the piano is very similar) but its so pretty and compelling! I really enjoyed how you supported it and just wish the lead synths were a bit louder, or potentially doubled by a higher piano to give them more depth. Good stuff!
lol im so tipsy i didnt realize there was another song, this one was also super pretty!!!! I think your triplet usage also provided some awesome mix ups for the rhythm and made it more exciting to listen to. I really like your piano writing
I also wish the lead synths were louder :P I spent too much time writing and didn’t give myself enough time to mix/master as well as I wanted to.

Loved Maya's Theme!
Every single time I thought the piano was gonna start playing that one Minecraft song. Wet hands I think its called.
I can definitely hear your influence by Debussy/romantic music in "Friendly Fishes", very nice contemplative feeling you gave to it. "Maya's Theme" also a beautiful piece, very emotional. Great job!
Definitely feel the Ghibli inspiration in Maya's theme, especially from 0:55-ish. Friendly fishes felt a lot like a track from Minecraft. Super nostalgic piano piece. Great Job!
Cute ambient and great synth blend in first one ! Maybe you could had more high cut in freq or reverb to get more that underwater effect :)
