Excellent work! I love the variety across the tracks, and I think it’s awesome that you approached it with a rhythm-game mindset, that’s not something we see a lot in the jam and I really enjoyed it. My favorite was definitely Baile en la Playa, it was so entertaining to hear that lead synth come in. Super fun, and the overall mix throughout all the music was great. Congrats, excellent job!

Thanks so much! I’m really glad you enjoyed that kind of call and response between the instruments, I had a lot of fun writing it. By the way, I REALLY enjoyed your entry as well, and the game idea was fantastic too!

Your music is really enchanting. I like that you decided to venture into using a lot of variety within the orchestra—not just the strings, but also tuned percussion and different articulations. It really gives a symphonic feel, which makes total sense with your nickname, haha. I also love the overall vibe, it matches the jam’s theme, and especially the illustration you picked. Both go perfectly hand in hand. Excellent job!

Thank you very much for the kind words! And congrats to you as well on this second entry :) I’ll head over to your submission now while there’s still some time left

Thanks so much! Most of the orchestral parts are from the Berlin series (Berlin Strings, Berlin Brass, and Berlin Solo Woodwinds), the guitar is from Ample Sound, and percussion from ProjectSAM Swing. I also tend to use the close mics, since sometimes the room sound feels a bit too much to me. They’re actually quite old libraries I got around 10 years ago, but I think they’ve held up really well over time! :)

Truly impressive, an excellent work! Approaching your music from the score clearly shows how well you can address orchestration challenges, and it highlights your wide command of different styles. I could also hear your inspirations and the composers you look up to, and it was a real pleasure since they happen to be among my favorites as well. I enjoyed it thoroughly from start to finish; it is very complete and coherent throughout.

I think this would make a fantastic soundtrack for the game, the kind of soundtrack that makes you want to play the game just to experience the music. I would love to hear some of these ideas performed live one day, as it’s always difficult to emulate certain instruments, especially considering the amount of music you managed to create in the time we had for the jam. But your vision comes across so clearly that it hardly matters, I simply loved it. Nothing more to add other than congratulations on such an incredible achievement.

Wow, these two pieces feel so full of life and character. I really like the vibe you achieved with this smaller ensemble, it feels much more intimate and I think that often works better for certain kinds of stories, as it does here. Excellent piano and string writing, with great sound and handling of the virtual instruments. Truly an excellent submission!

Gran trabajo! Y saludos desde Chile :)

Hey, this is a great snapshot of what your OST could be. I like how you went for a unique sound through that mix of instruments, especially with the electric bass that ties into the meaning of your game. It feels explosive and full of character. Really cool work!

I really enjoyed the variety of instruments you used across the soundtrack, it kept things engaging throughout the listen. My favorite was Hermit, I especially liked how you mixed in those bleeps and bloops. Great job!

That was truly soothing and relaxing to listen to, honestly some of the best ambient tracks I’ve heard in this jam so far.

I really enjoyed the way you combined synthetic sounds to create such rich textures, and you really know how to shape ambient music beautifully, with entrances and fades handled so delicately. Everything feels carefully crafted, and the overall sound world fits perfectly with the concept you’re presenting. The choice of space-evoking timbres makes complete sense, while still connecting well with the image by inviting a sense of reflection.

Congratulations, and thank you for sharing such a wonderful work!

Excellent work!

I really enjoyed the textures you created, especially in In Flow. It all feels very organic and fits perfectly with what you described. The whole game concept also resonates with me, since I also enjoy photographing seabirds and otters along the coast. I can easily imagine this in a game, and honestly, I’d love to play one like this with your music in it.

Overall, it’s a very polished submission with a great mix and some truly beautiful textures. Congratulations, and thank you for sharing this!

Wow, this really caught me by surprise.

Your submission has tons of character, largely because your own voice shines through so much. I also love that you used the Germanic lyre you built yourself, it gives the music such a unique flavor. It also had a very haunting quality that stayed with me.

A fantastic submission, congratulations on such great work!

Oh yes, this was great! I really like the approach you took with the theme, and I can easily imagine this music fitting the scenes you described.

Roadtrip has a very cool New Wave feel, using the traits of the style in a way that works really well. By the Fire gave me a calming feeling that also fits perfectly with the rest of the set. Campsite Defense Squad also carries that strong 80s vibe while nicely supporting the action, this one was my favorite!

The overall sound is crisp, clean and professional. I also really like how the three tracks together create a musical journey that connects nicely with the theme One Summer Night. Fantastic job!

Nice job! I can hear how you wanted to explore two different styles that complement each other in approaching this theme. Personally, I really enjoyed Eternal Atmosphere. I think it shows a great choice of sounds and a natural balance that makes it feel truly atmospheric while always keeping the listener engaged. Thank you so much for sharing!

Really great work! This feels very different from everything else I’ve heard so far and it carries such a strong nostalgic vibe. I especially enjoyed Danny’s theme, I’m a big fan of the synthwave sound. I also loved Why Must We Grow Up, it adds a real emotional depth and truly captures the feeling of its title. Overall, a wonderful submission, many congratulations.

Oh, thank you so much for that! I really appreciate that it brought you some nostalgia and reminded you of Porco Rosso. Actually, you’re not the first person to mention Professor Layton. Someone mentioned it in the comments and I’ve been listening to it these past few days. It’s truly excellent. I knew the game series but wasn’t very familiar with its music. Thanks a lot for your feedback :)

I really enjoyed this! The second track feels like a mix of 80s city pop, like the Masayoshi Takanaka vibe you mentioned, with some sounds that took me back to the early days of electronic music, and I really dig both of those influences. Great work!

Really impressive work! The guitar and bass recordings really bring the music to life, and I love the sense of progression in the storytelling (through the music). There’s a real sense of dedication in every track. Excellent job!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that you connected with the way I tried to approach the theme. It took me some time to decide on this direction, so I’m really glad it came across :)

This is really, really great! Your mix and your libraries sound excellent too.

This would work perfectly in this kind of adventure game. I wouldn’t get tired of listening to it even if it was playing for an hour. It has that quality that makes it very loop-friendly ambient music, but at the same time it also has melodies that keep you connected in an emotional level, so it never feels boring. I think you really nailed that balance, which is not easy to achieve at all.

I really enjoyed the more modern touch in the action theme percussion, and the ending is truly beautiful as well.

Amazing work! It was a real pleasure to listen to.

Thank you for listening and for the kind words! I’m really glad you connected with what I was hoping to evoke. Heading over to your submission now!

Thank you so much for the detailed comment and feedback! I’m really glad you enjoyed it. One of my biggest concerns was whether the Mediterranean vibe I wanted to capture would come through, so it makes me very happy to hear that. Thank you for listening, and I really enjoyed your tracks as well! :D

Thank you so much! Glad you liked it :)

The string ensembles are mostly from Berlin Strings (I sometimes layer them with Spitfire Albion), the solo strings from the Iconic series in Spitfire LABS, all the solo woodwinds from Berlin Woodwinds Soloists, the nylon guitar from Ample Sound, and the double bass and percussion mostly from ProjectSAM Swing. In fact, most of these libraries are quite old (except for LABS). I’ve had most of them for almost 10 years, but I think they’ve held up really well over time!

I just finished listening to your soundtrack and it was absolutely fantastic. The level of composition and arrangement is really impressive, and I was fascinated by the way you blended Celtic instruments with orchestral writing. You found a balance that feels immersive and cinematic, perfect for a video game, while still letting that Celtic identity shine through in such a natural and authentic way. The melodies feel alive and full of character, which made the whole thing a joy to listen to.

I also loved how the instrumentation supports the story. The way you combined the Celtic instruments with the orchestral textures doesn’t just set the scene, it really brings the world to life. Listening while reading your description was a fantastic experience too, and I feel that your hope came true, because the music clearly tells its own story even without the text. And I can easily imagine this music elevating the experience of playing the game.

Congratulations on such a beautiful work. Your soundtrack not only shows your skill as a composer and arranger, but also your ability to tell a story through music in a way that resonates deeply. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole journey. Thank you so much for sharing it!

Wow! thank you so much, Blue, for such a detailed and insightful comment.

I really like to use these opportunities to try out new things, while still trying to achieve the same quality as if it were a piece of music I was going to deliver, so it’s really encouraging to hear that you enjoyed it.

I also appreciate you pointing out the dialogue-like feeling between the oboe and clarinet, which was what I was trying to achieve. Oh and btw, all those woodwind solo instruments I used came from the Berlin Woodwinds library, I think they sound amazing even without heavy automation.

I feel honored by such a kind review, and your words mean a lot to me. Your comment really made me smile. Thank you again! :D

wow! Thank you so much for those kind words, it makes me really glad to know it evoked something for you :)

What a great job! I really enjoyed it. It felt relaxing and perfectly suited to your game idea. From the sustained strings to the piano voicings, everything comes together in a very coherent language. It also brought a smile to my face when I reached the second track and started to feel the Breath of the Wild style coming through. Excellent work!

Great work! I really liked the sounds you selected from the soundfont. They fit beautifully and help each music feel distinct while still being part of a coherent whole. The music feels tender and warm, which fits your story so nicely. I also think it’s awesome that you decided to step out of your comfort zone and tried something different this time. Congratulations on a lovely result!

Thank you so much for that! I had heard about the game series before but never really took the time to listen to the soundtrack, I just listened to some of it and I loved it. It’ll probably be in my listening playlist for the next few days. Really appreciate it!

Wow, thank you so much for that! Truly appreciated :D

What a unique work! The folk influence really stands out and makes it so distinctive. I also think it’s great that you based it on your own roots, it’s something truly meaningful and that depth comes through in the music. The sound is amazing and the whole work feels profound and genuine. Thank you that, great job!

Wow! How impressive!

This work sounds incredibly professional, and the orchestration is beautiful. I really like the musical language you use, it feels very cinematic at times. The piece goes through many sections and shifts with lots of complex textures, yet it retains a haunting atmosphere throughout. It’s clear how much effort you put into making everything sound so realistic and coherent. A brilliant mix and overall a truly delightful experience to listen to.

Congratulations, this is an amazing work!

Thanks you so much, William! I’m glad to know you felt that in At Day's End. I appreciate your feedback, heading to your submission now!

Oh wow, I thought the reference had been intentional! Either way, it’s really cool. Congrats on getting started with Dorico, it’s such a comfortable software and I find it convenient to integrate with a DAW workflow. Cheers!

Great work! I can see you dedicated a lot of time to this, and since you mentioned you haven’t been making music for very long, what you achieved here is even more remarkable. As for your work itself, I think it’s really impresive. The main theme sounds quite intimate and beautiful. In the second track, I liked the reference to "For Those Who Fight," but I also appreciated how you brought it into your own style and added your own magic to it. Overall it has a very epic sound, very well mixed and nicely orchestrated! Fantastic job!

Hey, this is awesome! It was a very fun and unique listening experience. Your music has a lot of personality. There’s a bit of everything going on here, but the tracks doesn't loose that beach vibe that also connects with the theme. I really like the sense of mystery and discovery you brought into the music as well, it makes a lot of sense with your visual novel concept. Really nice job!

Your work is amazing! Really beautiful compositions. Very orchestral, but at the same time maintain a very clear identity. You achieved a great sound and awesome arrangements too! I also think the music connects really well with the game concept you described. Fantastic job!

What a great submission! I really like how you decided to take a very different path and give a refreshing approach to the text theme. Overall, I think the sound you achieved is fantastic. It’s also really engaging to listen to and it fits very well with the story you wrote. That chords that glide upwards in the third track, actually reminded me a bit of Deep Cover from Hotline Miami, which I think is very cool. Awesome work Very well done!

This is a truly unique listening experience, very different from anything I’ve heard so far. It’s explosive and emotional at the same time. I really enjoyed the sounds you chose, the overall level of production. This is a very solid submission. Amazing job!
