Description
Genre - Orchestral
Runtime: 5:34
DAW: MuseScore 4
This is a nonexistent 3D Platformer with themes of managing stress and looking for familiarity in life. The main character is pulled deep underwater into a massive cavern world and has to navigate her way through the cavern and find a way back while helping the strange denizens of the area.
Track 1 - Main Menu: This is the main menu theme and the starting area theme. The protagonist is at sea, majorly stressed out, in a storm and soon gets pulled underwater.
Track 2 - Alien Oasis: The protagonist is now in a strange oasis filled with foreign plants and creatures. The oasis is made up of ocean water pulled down (along with all the plastics and garbage in the water) so she has to find a way out as the exit is blocked with a buildup of plastic.
Track 3 - Frozen Core: The protagonist has found her way out of the oasis and is now in the center of this little world's civilization, and explores the frozen overworld with a massive fortress, and the vast, crystalline, cave systems holding the core of this pocket of life. This is where she finds all the secrets of the world, and, eventually, a way back to the surface.
Theme:
How does it fit the theme?
The protagonist is at sea for months and gets pulled underwater during a storm into an alien world deep underground. Throughout the game, there is an overarching theme of wishing to get back, and the motif that is started in the main menu theme (taking place on the sea) is repeated throughout all the tracks

Main Menu: Between the bookends of high-intensity in the intro and outro, you have a very relaxing song with a memorable theme. I like your orchestration and think you have captured a sea-like sound with the low brass drones and the pulsing strings feeling like the push and pull of waves.
Alien Oasis: The surprising non-diatonic chords in your B section highlight the strangeness and alien-ness of this new area. The mallet instrument helps make this feel like an underwater environment and I think that the long brass notes help with it as well. Based on your description, I was maybe expecting more creepiness from this track, but instead I was pleasantly surprised to find it filled with tranquil wonder at the strange new place.
Frozen Core: Low marimba is definitely an icy sound in my opinion. The low brass conveys the enormity of the fortress and the descending trumpet melody conveys the shrinking feeling the protagonist feels when seeing this strange new civilization. These are three songs that are well put-together and were nice and relaxing to listen to while imagining this alien place. Nice job and thank you for sharing!
Nice work! I love the abrupt end of Track 1, like the moment she gets yanked under the ocean. Frozen Core was my favorite, I love the mallets on this one they are whimsical while the brass section is strong, it really helps set the stage for that frozen fortress
Very nice soundtrack, enjoyed it a lot.
Loved the composition. Each track gives you different environment, while staying in the same story.
Keep it up! :)
Great work! I really enjoyed Alien Oasis in Still Water, that track had a lot of character with a nice melody. Nice job!
Alien Oasis was lovely! I love the airy feel of the woodwinds!
I absolutely love mallet instruments + woodwinds so this is right up my alley! Love the compositions here as well, none of the instruments felt out of place, and the progression through each song feels quite natural. great work!
My favorite is the Alien Oasis. I can really imagine funny looking plants around a waterhole. These harmonies with the woodwinds, very effective!
