It's clear that a lot of effort went into it. I think the time limit is an interesting twist on a genre that can often encourage playing slowly and carefully - but the current implementation is frustrating. I'd recommend replenishing time and respawning oil on death (from any cause), and making the time limit act like any other level hazard. This would make things less frustrating, and would also give the game more room to grow if desired, as the forced restarts would become more problematic if you add more levels.
Thanks for the feedback! The game is supposed to be challenging and punishing in its current state, but I agree with you that if I decide to continue it and add more levels and mechanics it would be a little too frustrating to play. I'll keep this in mind if I decide to continue it.
Nice work! Solid platforming controls and a high difficulty level. The fast restarts after dying coupled with the time limit really makes it feel frantic. Good job on the submission.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
While as a game it's fun, and easy to pick up, it is elevated by the fact that it's made without an engine; in my eyes (as a fellow programmer), to a whole new level. While a simple user won't see this side of a game, I think it's important to be noticed from a programmer's standpoint. Good job!
Thank you very much man!!! This means a lot to me!
Nice entry - got a good "one more try" thing going on there. It's brutal that the oil doesn't respawn when you are destroyed, I got so close to completing the last screen I got to on my first attempt, but then I died and I'd picked up all the oil already and I ran out of energy on like the third attempt.
Thanks for your kind words! I think if the oil was respwning it would be a little too easy to complete the levels, especially the first ones, but i understand what you are saying.
