Great job submitting a game! This is a great little snake clone, especially for your first game jam. I appreciate that you added your own little flare with the two different kinds of food making you bigger/smaller. I do recommend scaling the game up by default but based on your comments you're already aware of that. On a side note its always fun to be reminded what 84x48 resolution looks like on modern screens haha. Thanks for participating and hope to see you next year!

Thanks for hosting and kind comments! I think the constraints this jam places on the creator are really helpful for newbies :)

Really neat game! I included it in my Nokia 3310 Jam 4 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Thanks for playing and sharing your video :)

Reminded me of the original with the two button control scheme.

Nice work, but it was hard to play in such a tiny window.

Hi. Thanks for taking the time to play and comment! I agree with you about the window size. I created a means for players to scale everything up but in hindsight I would have submitted it larger and allowed users to scale it down (if there was any good reason to).

It’s pretty good to play. The two button control gives a little extra difficulty, next to the already fast pace. The game window sadly is too small, it is playable, but you have to squint a little to see everything.

If I could give some advice, I would let the speed ramp up a little slower.

Thanks for playing my game, let alone taking the time to comment. You're absolutely right about the speed, I never could work out how to increase it over time. I might have misread the requirements so I submitted the game with a 84*48 window resolution by default, and then created the means for players to scale it up by changing the value in 'assets/scale.txt'. I play it on the maximum 10, personally. Anyway, this was my first game jam submission, so I'm just really happy to have submitted something complete.

Thanks again for taking the time!
