Very cool, it really sounds like an elevator I would like to be…until the part it falls 100m at top speed. Great work!
Also I liked a lot guitar part.

How did you use the theme/limitations?
I created a piece of elevator music with the sound of an elevator falling leading to the next section.
Did you take inspiration from another creation?
Apart from tutorial videos on mixing/effects and instrumental layouts, none this time.

Great entry! It really sounds like an elevator - 'jazzy chords, wacky rhythms, simple melodies'! I could totally imagine myself in an elevator.
The 'stuck' transition at 1:02 came as a surprise (as it should) but wasn't too shocking or anything, perfect. It also really sounded like an elevator getting stuck.
The section after that didn't feel completely in style. Having the sound of the elevator falling still softly in the background would probably have helped quite a bit with that. Or perhaps having the song be more similar to the original could also have helped. Either way, it did sound ominous with the guitar and all.
Oh, and love the little 'ting' at the end. I've heard more entries do that, it just feels so simple yet nice :D. Overall, great entry!!
Wow, there are a lot of great things!
Let's start with the melody: so much better! I don't know if what I showed you helped, but it's really great.
I love the little counterpoint of the xylophone(?) at the end of each melodic phrase. Very catchy.
The sfx are super well chosen and well integrated to the point that the sound of the elevator stalling made me slightly anxious! Bravo :D
We had the same idea for the second part to use heavy guitars, it's a bit cliché but it works well I think.
For the point of improvement, your first part repeats itself, it's not annoying in itself but when I hear two similar parts, I appreciate small variations. It can be the drums, the melody, a change of instruments, you get the idea.
Anyway it's a great piece that I like a lot.
Ahh you noticed! Yeah I made the effort on taking your advice and simplified my melody to make it easier for the listener to follow, what you showed me did help a lot and I'm glad you like it! 😊
I got a little hung up on the 2nd section that I didn't think of putting in variations for the first section, oops.. It certainly wouldnt of gone a miss for sure especially with it being a lengthy one. Nonetheless, thank you so much for your feedback, it's very much appreciated!
