Is there anyone i can speak to regarding the rules of this jam?, 

I say this as me and my friend are attempting to do it a little differently, we are doing a conceptual interpretation of a nes game but using 3D techniques. Its aesthetic may  be somewhat unorthodox hence my anxiety 

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

The NES was not meant for 3D modles, unless, those models were converted to 2D sprites of 16 by 16 pixels...
