A very chill game

I don't know why but this game makes my laptop want to die. Whenever I start going it the fans start chugging and after a while it lags like crazy. Might be the browser version?

The art is so cute - I love the Mouse shop and coins (I would buy those coins as merch tbh)! But after a few runs it seems like it'll be really tough and take a long time for me to upgrade things the way I'd need to to progress. I wish progress came a little faster at the start.

I like the shop and achievement ideas, but I think there's some balancing that needs to be fixed. Still, a very cool game!!

A really solid foundation although I bit too slow for my taste. Even after getting upgraded strength in level 1 it still took 3 hits to kill a single monkey and it felt like I was just constantly having to heal. Very monkebrain having to hurt yourself to win though. The art is nice and the music is chill.

I decided to quit after I beat level 3. I think the balancing is a bit rough, I had to grind level 1 to beat level 2. Although I did beat level 3 right after level 2 without grinding. Level 3 felt very very long for what was in it. So maybe make it a bit shorter, and make the upgrading easier or more powerful. The actual game was pretty decent, and there is a lot here which is cool. Would have liked to see different songs for the different levels, and the music didn't seem to match the game very well, but that first thing is really just a suggestion. So really I would say make the game a bit less repetitive, shorten levels to keep them under 3 minutes (or make them more dynamic in those 3 minutes), make progression a bit easier, and maybe work on the music a bit. Overall great job, and the art was quite nice

The game was pretty chill! I like the dynamic of losing health to deal damage, though the enemies feel a little tanky for that.

I like it. It was quite fun.

Enjoyed it very much! Classic concept, but well implemented and enjoyable. The pacing was nice.

Many fun little details and a real commitment to making this a full game with menu's, upgrades and achievements!

My one advice would be, with a game jam this short, is to cut a few of those extra's and put that time and energy in the gameplay loop. I think you had a good gameplay idea, but it could have used some of the polish you put in other parts of the game. But it's clear you put a lot of love in this project!

Impressive amount of functionality with the shop, achievements, levels and all. As mentioned before me, not much punishment from driving into monkeys to keep them away from truck-kun. Sometimes even got into a loop of taking hits by being sandwiched between them.

Shop only displayed upgrade prices after clicking the buy button the first time- a bit odd.

From an art perspective, the pixels being different size in different parts of the game was a big oopsie, but understandable with the time constraint.

All in all, a good idea, great use of theme. Good luck!

Too slow, wish there was a way I could speed up the truck, and not a lot of strategy with just tanking hits with no other strategy
