This is a really interesting concept that I feel like has a ton of potential, but in its current form it's a little too monotonous.

In my opinion, there's a ridiculous amount of comedic potential in taking an intensive day's worth of work and shortening it to just a minute. This game already demonstrates a bit of that potential by having the player just lob the wheat on to the chicken, completely burying it each day.

Personally, I don't have any concrete ideas on how to exploit this potential. My first thoughts were changing the game so every day the player gets a new set of tasks that they have to complete, and they gradually find more optimal (and comedic) ways of completing them. Just as an example, early on the player could just water the plants normally if that's the only task of the day, but they might not have time for that later, so they just tip a water trough near the plants and move on to the next task. Eventually, the player would be doing most tasks every day, but not remotely in ways you'd expect them to.

It's still a decent entry, but there's just so much more room to expand this concept.

tl;dr, you're sitting on gold here (maybe, I'm still pretty new to game-dev, so take my opinions with a grain of salt).

Hi LowQualityRobin,

thank you for your very constructive feedback.

I think implementing random tasks for each day would have been a complete "game changer". I really love that idea.

I'm in loss for words now. :D

Thank you very much for bringing this up. I hope that I can be this creative in my future projects.

Nice game! The art is good and the music fits. The tutorial text is a little in the way at first. Maybe you should be able to click on it to make it dissapear?

Developer

Hi froggyrs,

thank you for your feedback and I'm glad that you could enjoy my game. It's actually the first time for me to include an ingame tutorial so I'm really grateful for your comment regarding that topic. I'll definitely consider that in my next game.

Thank you. :)

I like this concept and it was well done! The music was a great match to the game - great entry!

Developer

Thank you very much. Wossogsd will be happy to hear that you like his soundtrack. :-)

Really cute and fun game! I liked the fast pacing and also how you can chill in the house a bit before starting the next day. The controls felt a bit clunky at first but I got used to them (I think the scroll wheel felt a bit fiddly to select items). And the “don’t forget to feed the chicken” text never went away xD Some ideas for potential improvements: add an upgrade that you can buy to water more crops at one time. Also, maybe have the player move to where you click instead of having to do both the WASD movement and mouse movement. I think this game could all controlled by mouse clicks, and then it could work on mobile easily too.

Hi shadowsora,

thank you for your feedback.

> And the “don’t forget to feed the chicken” text never went away
The only scenario I can think of would be that you fed the cicken before watering a crop... If that is your case too then the fix should be easy.

That's a good point. I've never thought of making it playable on mobile. Thank you!

> add an upgrade that you can buy to water more crops at one time.
Yeah. That would solve the time restrictments for some players. I will definitely keep that in mind for my next game. (if I happen to make another one)

I'm glad you still had fun. :-)

This was a fun one, really nice job.

Hi NotTimSullivan, thank you for your kind words. I'm glad that you had fun with my game.

Nicely polished, but I found myself spending 58 of my 60 seconds watering every day.  Is there anything I was missing/hadn't unlocked yet?

Developer

Hi Thxrst,

first: Thank you for playing my game and for your feedback.

To be honest with you... I was anxious that 60 seconds might be too much because - when there was nothing to harvest or plant - I still had 20 seconds left in my playthroughs when nothing else had to be done. xD (I consider myself to be a "One-Minute-Farm Speedrunner".)

There was nothing to be unlocked so the progression feels rather non-existent. But that will be a subject for my next game. (If I happen to make another one)

Thanks

Very fun game. It was cool to see another dev use the idea of only having one minute.
