Use of the limitation
The game is based on the Jack-O-Lantern legend. The player character design's mask is based on the legend and also his projectile attack has that design with a blue-ish color.

I liked the simple artstyle and animations! Maybe something to keep in mind if you continue developing the game is the balance of attacks. Right now, I don't see any reason I would use the melee attack instead of the ranged one, since the ranged attack can be used much more frequently and travels further. Another thing I found kind of strange was that player could move faster than the projectile, which you don't often see. Overall this was a nice, simple game that I enjoyed!
Hello! Yes. I wanted to do something about the attacks because I noticed it wasnt right even while the character is moving, i can still perform attack. I wanted to change this aspect however I lack the time so I just coded simple movement and combat script for the player. I just wanted to focus on the story of the game this game jam. Omg :) I had a smile on my face throughout the whole game.
I think it is because of the contrast between the silly art and inspiring audio track.
