Our end objective was to use emoticons to tell the story, however in the games current state it is just the imagination of the world that drives the story.

Looks cool! Sadly it’s unfinished 😢

this kinda thing takes time but your art is actually not bad at all

Keep at it! Definitely has potential with more time!

Thanks for the kind words!

Great art, but I feel like like I couldn't do much in terms of actual gameplay. The viewport also seems bugged for me as the screen is too small until I press the fullscreen button. I see a lot of potential in this one though.

I shall pass on the kind words do my brother, thanks! It turns out with unity you need to write a script to manage resolutions and such, and I did not realize that when exported the camera does not run in the way that it did inside the engine. Since I am aware of it this time it is probably going to be the first thing that I do in new projects.

The art is nice and there is potential. I'm sure if you guys had more time you could have made something great(the cover art is really good by the way) but the game is pretty unfinished right now. Still, I have high hopes for your next project!

Developer

Thanks for your kind words. My brother was insane with the art, he spent essentially the same time that I spent programming learning the program, and making the art. It is a shame that I could not get the animations out in time. Additionally, it seems I put the wrong texture for the north walls, oopsies.

I think this game could turn into a dungeon crawler or something eventually. Obviously, it needs some more polish and stuff in terms of music and animations, but I think you can turn this into a full game eventually.

Developer

Thanks for the kind words. We were busy for most of the duration of the event, but it makes me happy that you can tell that the objective was a dungeon crawler of sorts. Truth be told, I thought I could get animations out in the time frame, but I completely forgot how to do it and the tutorial was too long.

I'm not sure if it's because of how the game is displayed on itch.io, but in many areas (such as the first one), it is very unclear which direction the player can walk to proceed. I really liked the art, and I think this game has potential if maybe some story elements were involved.

Developer

Yeah, I am aware of that issue. Thanks for the feedback! My brother and I really only worked the last day on the game and I feel if we used more time it could have been good.

Cheers!
