Really cute game ! And fun concept

I like how the music gets faster as the time goes down

Very fun game-loop, probably the most I've played of the games in this jam! Bit slow to start but quickly picks up as soon as you get more shelves. Had everything upgraded with 250 gold to spare on day 18 :)

- Premise is cute. It reminds me of Moonlighter.

- Art is cute, especially the background sprites. I wish the shopkeeper looked forwards when moving diagonally, as I feel that's a better sprite than the left/right sprite.

- The first level or two were fun as I was figuring out to do, but once I realized how many levels it was going to take to unlock all the upgrades, I panicked and stopped playing. Like another poster said, the ability to end the day early would make all the difference in the world.

- It has consistent art and "narrative" - eg, all the assets and actions you take as a player feed the theme of being a shop-keeper, and nothing breaks that illusion. That consistency can be hard to achieve, especially if this is one of your first times working on a game.

- The physics on the barrels follows the curvature of the barrels such that you get a "speed bump" effect if you rub up against them.

Overall, nice work. Cute game!

Had everything upgraded on day 17. :) Fun! But very, very, very slow-paced. The first shelf-level should have been more like the 2:nd, you had over half a minute on the clock to just stare at the screen the first days. I liked the style and the idea and I did "need" to see it to the end because of the new items that you got. It was exciting. But, again, a bit too slow. The ability to end the day early would've been game-changing. :D

Wish there was more to do. The game feels repetitive

After a long time playing it becomes very repetitive.

It started feeling very repetitive very quickly.  Maybe I should have chosen different upgrades. Also a way to finish the day instantly would have helped with enjoyment. I really loved the art!

Looks like you had a lot of graphics to make for that game because the shop has a lot of details. So good job with the arts!

I played it till the end (22days) and found some bugs:

  • Once I reached the end it says it took me 0 days
  • Upgrading to lvl 5 (max-lvl) is for free. So if you have 50 coins and everything on lvl 4 then you could buy all upgrades ... and you still will have 50 coins left
  • Some chests don't tell me the price. They say in any case I wouldn't have enough money

I like the actual game idea. It is a mini version of ShopeKeep and really turned out really nice. But it first become fun in the "late game". I'd say you first notice the limitation once you've upgraded your shelfs to at least 3 (depending on your speed level). This was then also the point where the game started being fun - because I really had to plan my routes and it was benefital if I end my day in front of the chest. Once everything is upgraded the game is getting somehow grindy.

The early stage is mostly waiting. A button to end the current day would be pretty nice. I guess not everyone is as patient as me and you could loose players.

So overall I really like the game and the idea behind.

Hey! Thanks for the feedback!

First of all, congrats you tied my high scored haha! Thanks for the response and the review. We noticed the bugs after submitting but after grinding on the game all weekend we need some time before we are gonna fix that stuff-if we get to it. We weren't sure about the end day button as well we didn't know if it would conflict with the limitation.

Thanks for the feedback on the early game and the grind! If we make another "revamped version" I'll personally make sure to keep what you said in mind. Thank you for the review!

Quite a boring game, the idea with a limit is not implemented well. Animation bad maked, there is no one graphic style.(

Good Game

Nice - the Artstyle reminded me of Legend of Zelda!

The concept and art are cool, but I got confused on what to do at the start of the game. Other than that it's a pretty decent game :D

Thank you! Sadly we were in a rush before we could properly implement a tutorial in-game. Currently working on setting up a tutorial on the itch.io page!
