I like the concept and the mechanics look neat, but I got very quickly frustrated with the controls. Usually games with a bit of an isometric perspective like this rotate the controls to align with the grid, so in this case it felt like I was always fighting my controls just to keep in a straight line. Similarly, I think you could have benefited from having the controls add speed progressively rather than simply set the core to roll in a direction; staying on the heating plate was a frustrating ordeal all on its own.
I love the presentation, but found the gameplay very frustrating.
