Cute art and the ladders are a cool platformer mechanic :)

The levels remind me of the original Donkey Kong and Lode Runner. If you added some animations and refined the controls, it could be a neat little game.

The characters are so cute! I did have a little confusion trying to climb the ladders, it was a little difficult to control. A few of the levels spawn monsters really close to the player, so it's pretty hard. And on one level I got stuck off screen. But the artwork is very cute.
