Great work, i liked the graphics, used also, sound would have made this a tad bit more enjoyable imo!
Thanks for playing, I appreciate the feedback :D
That was a lot of fun. The ledge grab/wall jump seemed more useful for climbing up ledges than ping ponging back and forth to quickly traverse levels, which might be by design. Wish I had the skills needed to finish it.
Thanks for trying it out! :D
Enjoyed your game very much :) Nice graphics!
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! That's nice, it was fun :D
Great job on your first game jam! Love the game and control is awesome!
Thanks for playing and enjoying! :D
I like the art, and maybe you can make it even better if you add sound effects. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for playing :D
What a great, challenging game. The game doesn't explain itself much, but doesn't really need to, and the rising-water challenge is unique and interesting. I like how the sand blocks were limited resources, and the pixel art was quite appealing, but I do wish there had been more time for sound or music design. Good animations on the character, and the water looked good too. Overall a great experience worth having and a good submission to the jam.
Thank you, I appreciate the feedback! I'll have to manage my time better next time and add sound sooner rather than later :D
I love a good platform game and the pacing in this makes it so compelling!
Thanks a lot! I love them as well :D
109 deaths…. lol. I’m going to blame it on me experimenting with potential alternative paths. :)
Kind of tough, but very fun! If you plan on expanding it, I think the pacing of the game is very important, so make sure to maintain that. It would be really fun if there were special blocks that you could pick up, carry around, and place floating in the world, then immediately jump off of them. Not sure how that would work thematically, but the mechanic would feel cool, I think. I often found myself wanting just a little more height and I think it’d open up “alternative paths” like I mentioned above, which could add a lot to the game. Keep it fast-paced though!
I absolutely love the wall-jump animation.
Ah thanks a lot! Don't worry, my playtesters had even more ;D I like that idea! Not sure if I'll carry on with this one, but it's definitely an idea worth exploring! And the alternate paths are cool too. Thanks for the feedback!
Oh nice! You're good at this! :D Thanks for playing!
Simple yet fun gameplay! Although I believe that some music could add a lot to the game. I really like the squash and stretch animations, it adds to the character! The single wall jump ability was also a great addition
Overall a nice game!
Thanks a lot for playing! Yeah music was a big thing I wanted but ran out of time to add. Need to manage my time better in the future :)
Cool one!! Crabs gonna meet the turtles soon!!<3
Haha, thanks for playing :D
Waves are too fast for me. I really loved the crab art though especially with its cute big eyes. Well done finishingthe game!
Thank you :D Yeah, getting the difficulty right was a bit tough. Made the waves slower than they were originally but I probably should have tweaked them even more. Ah well... :)
WOW, a nice game I really enjoyed but I am not able to understand where to go.
Thank you! You need to jump to the top and onto the wooden platforms
looks nice the design is great, but i dont know where to go the camera dont follow
Thanks for playing! At the top of each level is a wooden platform which you need to jump to. The camera then switches to the next level.
