How was your experience with Mini Jam?
Pretty good but I would have enjoyed a less gameplay oriented limitation
Pros: the most beautiful minimalistic game I've ever seen! | satisfying, relaxing music and sounds | interesting idea for the theme | in-game progression | good level-design | possibility of choosing a character | dialogues
Cons: no in-game tutorial about the controls | can't skip initial tutorial | need a mini map, or something similar | too much blur effect sometimes | objects sometimes block the camera | the character is too slow
This game is absolutely gorgeous. It's amazing what the devs were able to do with such simple assets. I think the controls and gameplay needed more explanation. I was never really able to figure out what I was supposed to be doing, even after rereading the instructions a few times
I couldn't handle the controls (still thanks for adapting to different keyboard layouts, I guess you are using Input System) So i could not really play the game that much
That being said, it is absolutely beautyfull (also good work on the presentation page )
This is the only game I downloaded so far, I had to try it when I saw the visuals
When possible use the webgl version, it really is so much easier to test
The stairs though, incredibly tedious to jump for each step :D
Insane work! Never could have possibly imagined a game being made with this much polish
