The gameplay feels quite smooth and enjoyable. I like the feel when hitting enemies, and the platforming part is simple but well executed in my opinion. The ambient sound is very good, but I think it feels like something is missing. I like JDNation's suggestion of adding a Minecraft-style music along with the ambient sound. So it keeps that relaxing and pleasant feel.

I think there was a lack of a situation where the powers are really exploited, but I see that you will continue with the project, so you still have a lot to add.

I've had a good time, good entry.

Thank you for the feedback.

Agreed with the background music and level design suggestion I will try to add music and add/redesign rooms.

This was a very nice game.

The visuals are very pleasant and distinct and it controlled quite well.  Maybe the acceleration was a bit fast on falling since I had a little trouble landing on narrow platforms.  IDK, it might be fine and just me being

There was a moment where one of the control prompts confused me, because it swapped from using cardinal directions to describe the face buttons to using left and right.

And maybe the audio-scape could be a bit developed.  There is something nice about the gentle sea breeze just playing in the background.  Maybe just some Minecraft style stings could suit it.

Here's my gameplay recording:

Keep at it!

Thank you for playing and thanks a lot for the video as well!

Ah! Because the falling has no velocity limit which makes falling too fast as time goes thanks for pointing it out.

Hello,

It's been wonderful, congratulations! I rated it 5/5.

I really enjoyed: the execution is good, the visuals are nice and clear, the audio does its job very well, the game is a Metroidvania: ability-gated progression, tease obstacles before acquiring the needed ability, smooth backtracking.

The water and fire mechanics are well thought, designed and implemented.

The controls were great as well, very responsive. I just could not Dash with the controller. I used an official Xbox wired controller.

I would love to see more from you in the future!

Cheers

PS: please play and rate our game
