It was short but sweet.
Definitely happy with WASD + Space + Left mouse button controls. The puzzle mechanic was interesting and the platform you had to run for kinda added a skill based aspect to the one level (other than shooting enemies).
The visual appeal and overall presentation of the game was slick to say the least.
Instant fun and some awesome looking spritework and a nice catchy tune !
I also enjoyed the sorta puzzle aspect to the level where you had to figure out which order to activate switches in order to progress, i was also surprised that enemies not only shoot at you but if you get too close they just capture you and you're back at the begining.
Some small issues though, i didn't feel like there was much you could do to to dodge the enemy shots as even crouched i got hit, and i think you can also get softlocked if you miss the first elevator puzzle, thankfully i could "reset" by jumping in the deathpit so not a full softlock here. last small thing sound effects would really complete the package here to add a bit more life i'd say.
Now other than that it was fun, jump physics felt allright and the 8 direction aiming for the gun is nice, and i like that your game has a bit of that Alien Hominid vibe to it.
Well done :)
I really liked the aesthetics, colors, and music. It feels retro and the little alien is so cute *-*
As you progress in the game, it shows you how to move around the puzzle without any written instructions, that way there's no language barrier or anything like that, I appreciated that detail.
Looking forward for more material :)
cool game! The art is wonderful! and the song is pleasingly retro!
Keep it up!
What a pretty game! I like the graphics and music, even if the music can get a bit repetitive at times. The way the game starts and the doors open, really remind me of Metroid and Megaman and stuff.
Something that confused me was how the monitors said "A", so I pressed A and nothing happened. Turns out it was actually space that I had to press to use the computers.
The puzzle in the last level was well designed, took me a little bit to figure it out, but it wasn't too hard.
This could definitely be made into a fuller game!
